- Always wash your hands before taking care of your tattoo -
If your tattoo is wrapped in plastic film leave it for 3h. (Continue to point 5)
If your tattoo is with "Second Skin", keep it for 24h. If it starts to peel before that time, or if it just comes off, process with the next steps.
If the skin shows any irritation or allergic reaction to the “Second Skin,” such as burning, increasing itching, redness around the area, or a sensation of the skin “overheating,” remove it immediately and proceed with the next steps.
Remove the “Second Skin” carefully and slowly under lukewarm water. Never remove the “Second Skin” dry or with cold water. Pull it parallel to the skin, stretching it outward and downward to gently lift it off. Always pull sideways, never upwards.
Gently massage off all the goo with an unscented antibacterial ph neutral soap. Rinse well and tap it dry with kitchen paper. Don't use towels or other fabrics.
Do not apply tattoo cream or any other moisturiser for the first 24h and don't cover your tattoo with plastic wrap again.
Do not use Vaseline or Bepanthen - We exclusively recommend Hustle Butter Deluxe for this purpose.
Continue to wash the tattoo as indicated above, gently, 1–2 times a day for the first 5 days. After that, wash it as you would normal skin.
Always make sure it is completely dry by gently patting it dry — never rubbing. Apply a very thin layer of cream and allow it to air-dry until fully absorbed.
Do not apply too much cream to the tattoo — excess cream can hinder the healing process and clog the pores, causing damage and possibly infection. Always apply small amounts. The tattoo does not need to look shiny.
Always apply the cream gently and with care, especially when the tattoo has scabs.
Apply the cream whenever you notice the skin feels very dry or tight.
You can stop using the tattoo cream after the skin is completely peeled off and start applying a gentle moisturiser and sunscreen of your choice.
If something doesn't feel right or you suspect inflammation, please contact the artist directly or the studio via Instagram or WhatsApp.
